Bank of America, in an unforced error of PC stupidity, has figuratively shot itself in the corporate foot in the process of trying to shoot down a client, which happens to be a manufacturer of guns and shooting accessories.
[...] McMillan Group International wrote on their Facebook page yesterday that Bank of America no longer wants their business? Why? Because of the nature of the business: guns. [...]
[...] Yesterday, however, after a meeting originally scheduled as an “account analysis” with Ray Fox, a Senior Vice President with Bank of America, McMillan was informed the bank no longer wanted their business. [...]
There was no ambiguity on the part of Bank of America.
[...] Fox reportedly confirmed the move was a “politically motivated decision.” [...]
As a life member of the NRA (National Rifle Association), CRPA (California Rifle and Pistol Association) and SASS (Single Action Shooting Society), it should be interesting to see how members of these organizations react to Bank of America's radically and politically motivated business decision to drop McMillan International Group as a client/customer. B of A has every right to do so, but McMillan International Group has every right to let the public know of B of A's PC action.

Bayou Renaissance Man ran this story on the 20th, when I mentioned that B of A got TARP dollars, and thought this might be the reason. "John" said no, they had been that way before. But, B of A came to the well three times and I still think this might have had something to do with it. You do not get $20 Billion, then another $30 Billion, plus another $300 Billion in assured funds from this administration without giving something in return. Just another form of boycotting certain businesses. I hope McMillan IG find themselves a good bank.
