Good ol’ Tom Bodett – probably one of the most recognizable voices in t.v. and radio. I always liked his down-to-earth ads. Here’s a compilation of radio ads. I especially like the 2nd one about tweeting:
What’s ol’ Tom been up to? He’s mainly a writer which I didn’t know. And his face doesn’t match his voice, to me anyway. I can’t believe I’ve been listening to this guy for almost 30 years and yet he looks like he’s in his 30s. One thing I like: he lives in VT, my favorite state. I might just have to visit ol’ Tom sometime so keep the light on for me, will ya?

ReplyDeleteMotel 6 is now "Six" and became French-owned some time back. In my younger, not so well heeled days, I used to stay at one in So Cal. Like a fool, I had stashed my kids' presents in the trunk, instead of taking them with me into my room. Because I had a security light on my CD player, my visitor went in through the trunk. Interesting Christmas. I am now a platinum cardholder at the Courtyard.
