Communist Party USA endorses Obama & the Democratic Party

I'm sure this won't make the MSM top-of-the-hour news and Obama and DNC Chair Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz won't bring it up. But wow - what a boon. Getting the Communist Party USA endorsement! Saul Alinsky not only turned over in his grave, but he sat up and applauded. For the rest of us, we're sitting down, trying not to get sick.

Sam Webb, via People's World (their newspaper):  

It is obvious that there is a growing feeling of frustration and even anger among supporters of the Democratic Party with its performance over the past two years.  

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, speaking for the labor movement, strongly expressed this unhappiness in some recent speeches.

We make criticisms, but we do it in a certain context and with a certain strategic objective in mind. We are keenly aware of the fact that the agenda of the far right is to bring this administration and country to its knees, with a heavy dose of racism, lies and economic sabotage, setting the stage for a full blown return to power of the most reactionary, racist, anti-labor, anti-women, homophobic and militarist grouping in U.S. politics. 

And this is where I say - What?, Huh?, and WTF!  And here's some interesting tidbits from their website:

Defeating the Rightwing on the Road to Socialism - the author states, "Our affinity to the American radical/democratic tradition."

US Communists salute the Cuban Revolution - "The Communist Party of the USA hereby Sends our special greeting to comrades Fidel Castro Ruz and comrade president Raul Castro Ruz, thanking them for their long service to the international working class and humanity, and wishing them many more years of good health and happiness."
