More California Pretzel Logic: Teach your kids to be arms dealers for fun and profit

By Capitalist Preservation Contributor Elizabeth Nelson

Looking back at our childhood, how many of us have played cowboys and Indians, or cops and robbers, or even got a water gun as a child from our parents, but how many of us have gone on a killing spree because of it?  Kids in San Jose won’t have this luxury, because toy guns now seem to “desensitize them.”

"Playing with toys guns, saying 'I'm going to shoot you,' desensitizes them, so as they get older, it's easier for them to use a real gun," Strobridge Principal Charles Hill told the San Jose Mercury News.  HuffPo

However, wouldn’t that be like saying, “Your daughter playing with a Barbie and Ken doll leads to sex and your son playing with G.I. Joe leads him to joining the Military”

Advocates, however, say the threat is overblown and that playing cops and robbers is a normal part of growing up. If kids turn in their play weapons, they'll get a book and a chance to win a bicycle.

So what does this teach our children?  That adults like to push their political views on them, and that maybe there is something to this Fast and Furious; it’s actually profitable to become an arms dealer, because more kids are hurt and killed on bicycles than those that play with plastic guns.

  1. yes indeed.. If all the children hear during their developmental year is twisted perceptions from their parents and those who mentor them, what other logical result could one expect from a product cultivated on and fertilized with warp thinking?
