Nancy Pelosi seldom does anything halfheartedly and her latest effort is no less than another
delusional act to
provide cover for the loss of the opportunity to pick up a Democrat House seat.
By now most people are aware that the special election in Florida's
Congressional District 13, went to Republican David Jolly as he defeated
Democrat Ms. Alex Sink.
Jolly was a relatively unknown
political aspirant, who was outspent by a 4 to 1 margin by Alex Sink. Sink
was known state wide. She previously served in a state wide elected
office and two years ago very narrowly lost the gubernatorial election to now
governor, Rick Scott. Sink looked to be the shoe in salvation for
Democrats, who face a potential political tsunami in November that could bring
both houses of Congress under the control of Republicans, if all goes well and
Obamacare continues its failing ways.
Democrats sent in a lot of outside
money to defeat Jolly and even had ex-President Bill Clinton come in and
campaign for sink. Frankly, Democrats thought they had it made, as did
many local and national observers. Now that Jolly has won the special
election by an almost 2% differential, many pundits are proclaiming that the
victory was primarily a referendum on Obamacare. Needless to say
Democrats and their sycophants in the MSM are denying that scenario.
Nancy Pelosi is now trying to take a lemon and make lemonade out of it,
by adamantly proclaiming that Democrats are embracing Obamacare and will
successfully run on it in the November 4, 2014, midterm congressional
elections.
It's one thing to put on a brave
face and another thing to make a delusional claim that the ongoing almost daily
failings of Obamacare will save the day for Democrats, since there is no
logical nexus to make that claim. It should be remembered that not one
single Republican vote was cast for Obamacare in either house of Congress in
2010, whereas all Democrats voted for it. The many failings of Obamacare
and the fact that Democrats unanimously voted for what is now an obvious
disaster, will logically be the determinant or at least one of the major
determinants to the success or failure of Democrats running for election on November
4th.
