Rocco Fortunato, known better as Rocky Fortune, isn't a detective, but he sure gets wrapped up in his share of crime.
Rocky's a street-wise guy with many talents; holding on to a job isn't one of them. That's why he's usually found around Gridley Employment Agency where they steer him to odd jobs. Funny, though, all of these jobs bring him into contact with some very unsavory characters. The scrapes can be so tight that Rocky also crosses paths frequently with another guy: Police Sergeant Hamilton Finger.
SOTR listeners will notice a "bluesy" background in today's introduction. There are 2 reasons for that. First, in today's story, Rocky takes a temporary music gig. Second, Rocky Fortune is played by "Old Blue Eyes," Frank Sinatra, and cool is the order of the day.
