Progressive "White Privilege" 101 Coming to an Elementary School Near You

By Kim D.

With the current federal takeover of the educational system via Common Core standards, social injustice theories may soon have a strong voice in the classroom. When most people think of the concept of education, they associate the term with institutions and people of higher learning who impart knowledge to students to enhance critical skills necessary in the workplace. However, the uprising of progressivism is changing how education is perceived in America. The progressive agenda is not to necessarily emphasize critical skills (i.e. math, English, science). It is one of indoctrination.

In March, Progressives Today partnered with EAG News to attend the 15th annual White Privilege Conference in Madison, WI. With reporters incognito, they managed to film many of the shocking and disturbing highlights from the conference. Speakers at the conference were professors, teachers, and well-known race activists in the grievance industry. One of the main agendas at this year's conference was on how to effectively teach the subject of white privilege at the elementary school level, as high school is too late. Students need to be fed this propaganda and be indoctrinated before they mature into critical thinkers.

According to Progressives Today, there was a session at the 2014 White Privilege Conference  . . .  titled, “Examining White Privilege and Building Foundations for Social Justice Thinking in the Elementary Classroom.” The session was led by two teachers, Rosemary Colt and Diana Reeves. Watch the video and prepare for a jaw drop!

Fifth grade test on 9/11 events blames the US for the terror attacks

By Correctamundo

If this doesn't scare the crap out of you, then your crapper is broken.  Imagine your kid bringing home a test with this question: “Why might the United States be a target for terrorism?”  And then discovering what the correct answer is:

A Texas mom is furious after discovering that her son’s school is teaching students that the United States is partly to blame for the 9/11 terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people.

Kara Sands, of Corpus Christi, Texas, took to her Facebook and posted photos of the test administered by Flour Bluff Intermediate School. The test reportedly covered content in a video fifth-grade students watched in class.

Of all the questions about the 9/11 attacks, Sands was most disturbed by question three: “Why might the United States be a target for terrorism?” The answer? “Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere.”

Unsurprisingly, the stunningly controversial lesson, a part of Safari Montage, is reportedly a supplement of the controversial CSCOPE curriculum system that has come under fire recently, Sands told TheBlaze. The same system includes lessons asking students to design a flag for a “new socialist nation” and dubs the Boston Tea Party as an “act of terrorism.”

“I’m not going to justify radical terrorists by saying we did anything to deserve that — over 3,000 people died,” Sands told KRIS-TV.

The irate mother immediately contacted her son’s principal and teacher and set up meetings with them. The school then reached out to the video’s distributor, Safari Montage. Sands told TheBlaze that the principal of Flour Bluff Intermediate School admitted that Safari Montage is a CSCOPE supplement.

“Representatives say they stand behind the video, but have already changed the corresponding quiz that may have caused confusion,” according to the report.

Another worksheet on the Bill of Rights apparently names food and medicine as “rights,” not a personal responsibility, according to Sands.

This is the kind of crap the progressives are teaching your kids. And just who and what is CSCOPE? Glenn Beck and TheBlaze explain.

CSCOPE was created so that teachers could frame their year around teaching points required by the state. Lessons, which are written by CSCOPE staff and current and former teachers, can be updated and delivered online, making it more cost-effective than standard textbooks.

To note just how off-color some of the CSCOPE curriculum is, consider that the Texas CSCOPE Review, an independent watchdog group, uncovered an out-of-date, optional CSCOPE lesson-plan on terrorism — “World History Unit 12 Lesson 07″ — which allegedly likens the Boston Tea Party to “an act of terrorism.”

The system also recently asked students to design a flag for a new socialist nation.

Let me guess - it's a new flag for Obama's transformed America - you know, the one with 58 states.

To glean greater insight, Glenn Beck invited special guests David Barton and Pat Gray, along with teachers Mary Bowen, Stan Hartzler and Texas State Sen. Dan Patrick to discuss what is truly going on within their state’s education system.

Barton explained that CSCOPE is referred to as “instructional material” and not “curriculum,” therefore is not subject to regulation by the State Board of Education. The historian also brought in artifacts of Texas public school curriculum to showcase just how different it is today and to mark, year-by-year, the increasing application of political correctness in lesson plans.

Using a chart, Barton documented and mapped out core CSCOPE material, which eliminates national values, Americanism or rather, American exceptionalism, the study of federalism and majority rule (the core of our constitution) along with patriotic symbols like the Liberty Bell. Christopher Columbus, Rosh Hashanah and Christmas are all relegated to the dustbin along with American military history. Equality and a belief in justice is replaced by “fairness” and instruction on American propaganda and imperialism.

Disturbingly, Beck and Barton noted that the worst is yet to come. Showcasing a lesson plan for grades 1-3, Barton revealed CSCOPE’s list of “heroes,” which comprises a dozen secular progressives and only three conservatives or political moderates.

There's more to be read at the link above - educate yourselves, especially you parents!  You are paying for this crap with your taxes and, ultimately, with your kids' psyche. It is absolutely ridiculous that anything being dubbed 'instructional material' is not subject to regulation. If that's the case, I call on all religious organizations/evangelical churches to start submitting religious 'instructional material' or all conservative organizations/groups to start submitting conservative 'instructional material' to all TX schools and see if you get the same response and cooperation. I think we know what the answer to that will be.
