Here's a video of Romney speaking on Memorial Day and sounding a lot like Ronald Reagan and his "Peace through superior firepower." Perhaps Romney has previously addressed this, but I am not particularly aware of it. This short speech of under two minutes makes it rather clear that it would be Romney's goal to see to it that the United States has the world's strongest military, not to wage war, but to absolutely give those, who would do us harm, pause to rethink any such action.
If history has taught us anything, it is that the best defense is an even stronger offense. Obama, on the other hand, would prefer to disarm America to show our enemies that we really want peace. Obama would have people believe that all things can be accomplished through diplomatic negotiations as equals, hence his proclamation that America is not exceptional in a world of equal nations. Tell that to all the millions of people who have been killed as a result of liberals believing that all things can be overcome through negotiation and compromise
