Paul Bill Would Stop Obama from Tweaking Healthcare Law

Obamacare, to me, is like hearing a tsunami siren go off, seeing the wave from afar, bracing for impact and waiting to get wet.    

 The only problem is, Emperor Obama has extended deadlines, decreed which Americans get exempted from the law and then he has decreed which parts of the law he wants America to obey and which parts of the law only certain Citizens may ignore for now. 

The law is not being fully implemented, no one is getting wet, so no one really knows how this law will truly effect their life or job, because our dictator-in-chief won't stop delaying the inevitable, but that may change with the Constitutional Check and Balance Act.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) introduced a bill Thursday that would allow a congressional member to stop the president from directing his administration not to enforce federal laws.

Republicans have accused President Obama of circumventing Congress in changing the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, also known as ObamaCare.

 “The Obama administration is trying to rewrite ObamaCare by executive fiat and that act is a violation of the separation of powers in the United States Constitution,” Paul said in a press release. “This and other attempts by the Obama administration to rewrite the law can be stopped if this bill becomes law.”

The Constitutional Check and Balance Act authorizes members of Congress to take the administration to federal court if the president, or any other executive branch official, directs federal agencies to not enforce a provision of law.

Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas) has a companion measure in the House.

“As most Americans learned in eighth grade civics, the Constitution requires that the Executive Branch enforces laws passed by the Legislative Branch,” Poe said in the release. “Unfortunately, this administration treats the law as a mere suggestion, picking and choosing which ones to enforce.” Read more The Hill:

So, hard fact is, we don't have the numbers to impeach this occupying idiot, at this moment in time, but perhaps with the passing of the Constitutional Check and Balance Act, we will have the power and authority to stop him from manipulating the Constitution until we do. Not only that, but it will also keep future Presidents, Democrat and Republican, from thinking the Pen is mightier than the Constitution.
