Let them eat fake

The Congressional Quarterly just recently published a report indicating that the Senate Democrat Budget had even fewer savings than advertised - cutting only $1.5 trillion over the course of 10 years. That's $150 billion annually and it's not anywhere near what needs to be done to regain any semblance of fiscal sanity and control of the spiraling out of control debt the Democrats have saddled all Americans with.

The statutory committee deadline passed six weeks ago and, with over 740 some days gone by since the Democrat-led Senate passed a budget, it was reported this past week that Senate Democrats would finally produce a budget and hold a markup. However, no budget was produced and the markup was delayed yet again.

Chairman Conrad lacked the votes to move the budget out of his committee because of the vote of Senator Bernie Sanders, part time liberal democrat and full time socialist. The Hill reported that Senator Conrad shifted the Senate Democrat budget further to the left as a result of Sanders' opposition to Democrat cuts. In particular the Conrad draft couples every dollar of savings with a dollar in higher taxes - even as the President asserted his so-called framework would achieve three dollars in savings for every one dollar in cuts, albeit a claim that is not borne out by the numbers.

And the hypocrisy continues. Even the few reasonable Democrats are being whipsawed by the Obama administration and the Senate Democrat Majority Leader along with his many minions bent upon running the country into bankruptcy. The time has long passed for Republicans to compromise with even reasonable Democrats. Push has come to shove and if the Republicans don't shove and shove hard they, and every American, will be rolled over into debt that will mark the turning point leading to the demise of America as the world's beacon of freedom and liberty. And that is fact and not any scary fiction.
