Tonight, the wife and I are going to see Hal Holbrook's one man stage show, "Mark Twain." It's a one night only stop for Holbrook in our town. I believe Hal has been touring this show for about fifty years. I'm betting he has the material down pretty good by now.
What, no review of the Holbrook performance?
ReplyDeleteWill, I looked at where that performance took place - did you have a packed house? How was it? Were you motivated to go home and dust off your "Complete Works of Mark Twain"?
ReplyDeleteAt least you got the 'real' thing. We, in Calaveras County, have yet to see hide or hair of this raconteur, but do have a falling-down shack where he stayed once that we could show you. It's like the Steinbeck and Cannery Row thing.
