Why does Harry Reid think NPR should not be defunded?

  Will Profit here. Ya see, Harry is from Searchlight, Nevada. Harry was poor when he was a Searchlight resident. Maybe not poverty stricken, but a man of modest means at most. Harry went to Washington DC and is now a millionaire. No joke. Harry has become a millionaire as a public servant. Politicians who didn't have much money before they arrived in DC love to rub it in our faces how they became millionaires when they got to DC. Now, I know Harry has explained how he has made his money through shrewd investments over the years. And maybe he has. And maybe he hasn't. But I do know Harry could afford satellite radio and/or satellite tv. His problem would be solved and it wouldn't require a tax payer funded radio station. And come to think about it, who the Hell cares if Harry gets radio reception in Searchlight, Nevada? It's our problem?   
 So Harry the millionaire, has the same option as those of us who aren't millionaires. If you can't listen to free radio where you live, and you really, really, really want to listen to the radio, PAY for it yourself.  
 I'm down off the soap box now. What I found most amusing about this article in The Hill is something  a reader put in the comment section:

So we are left to wonder. Is Harry just a really stingy millionaire who wants taxpayers to fund his radio listening enjoyment or is he just a liar who doesn't want to cut funding to a Dem/ Lib/Prog institution?
