Setting the Record Straight – Liberal MSM Intentionally Shoots at Duck Dynasty

How many of us have heard the Liberal Left MSM say Phil Robertson’s GQ interview, “Damned Gays to Hell,” “grouped homosexuals with bestiality” and “hates homosexuals”? Okay, now, how many have actually read the GQ interview in context? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

The problem with our society today is, too many of us have become complacent in allowing the Liberal Left media to feed us their 95% Lying-Propaganda-crap mixed with 5% truth and we buy what they are selling, hook-line-and-sinker, as 100% gospel.

When I walk into the TV area, no one makes a move to get up—the Robertson men greet you as they would a friend who just came back from a beer run. Not only are the Robertsons among the most famous people in the country, they also happen to be among the most recognizable. You can spot them from a mile away with those beards. Imagine Johnny Depp walking around every day in his Jack Sparrow costume and you begin to get an idea of how much they stand out. It’s gotten to the point that they say they can’t fly commercial anymore.

“We’re Bible-thumpers who just happened to end up on television,” he tells me. “You put in your article that the Robertson family really believes strongly that if the human race loved each other and they loved God, we would just be better off. We ought to just be repentant, turn to God, and let’s get on with it, and everything will turn around.”

What does repentance entail? Well, in Robertson’s worldview, America was a country founded upon Christian values (Thou shalt not kill, etc.), and he believes that the gradual removal of Christian symbolism from public spaces has diluted those founding principles. (He and Si take turns going on about why the Ten Commandments ought to be displayed outside courthouses.) He sees the popularity of Duck Dynasty as a small corrective to all that we have lost.

“Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong,” he says. “Sin becomes fine.”

What, in your mind, is sinful?

A-Ha, the Gatcha Question that the entire MSM, whether it is written, TV, or Social media wouldn’t even dare ask the POTUS, knowing that he was once Anti-Gay marriage, before he flip-flopped.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says.

Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

And if that offends your delicate sensibilities, than take it up with God, because that’s scripture based, (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) not hate-based.  However, people who wish to see hate and dissent will always find a way to see it. I don't hear the prostitutes, drunks, murderers, adulterers and thieves getting their knickers in a twist, boycotting and pitching a hissy fit, do any of you? So why is it only the gays are intolerant?

His interview was more anti-sin, because it collects ALL sins, than anti-gay.  He warned everyone when he started with “America would be better off”, and humanity needed to turn from our sin, repent and let’s get our act together” so we can get back to the greatness we once had and be God-blessed again.  However what he omitted was the WAY, and that was in the next verse of Corinthians:

^{11 And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God.}
