FORMER GITMO DETAINEE Arrested in Spain Recruiting for ISIS

So, we’ve already been warned that ISIS is a viable threat to the US

and our allies as are the five detainees that were released just released, and that we will assuredly be seeing them again soon. 

Well, what about the ones that were released before them, what about their recidivism? Let’s take a look at one of these, shall we?

Spanish authorities arrested eight members of a jihadist recruitment network led by a former Gitmo inmate.
The group leader was named by Spanish media as Lahcen Ikasrrien, who was held at Guantanamo Bay for several years but released on his return to Spain in 2005 for lack of evidence.

The Islamist group was recruiting members to fight with ISIS in Syria-Iraq.

Al-Arabiya reported:

Spanish police arrested eight people in pre-dawn raids in Madrid on Monday against a jihadist recruitment network led by a former Guantanamo Bay inmate, the government said.

The cell found and dispatched recruits for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants based in Syria and Iraq, Spain’s interior ministry said in a statement.

“It should be highlighted that the leader of this cell lived in Spain after passing through Guantanamo, having been arrested in Afghanistan in 2001,” it said, without providing further details.

Police have so far launched 12 raids, detaining eight people, and the investigation remains open, the ministry said. Spain’s government has said it fears battle-hardened Islamist fighters may return to Spain from Syria and other conflict zones under the influence of Al-Qaeda-inspired groups, presenting a threat of attacks.

The latest strike by Spanish security forces is the third significant raid on jihadist recruitment cells announced in as many months. On May 30, security forces arrested six suspects in Melilla, one of two Spanish-governed cities along with Ceuta on the northern Morocco coast.

Spain accused the network of recruiting and sending out jihadists to join “terrorist organizations” based in Mali and Libya. Lahcen Ikassrien sued the Ministry of Justice and demanded $784,367 euros in damages for the four years of stay in Gitmo and the 374 days of detention suffered in Spain once delivered, tried and acquitted.

Yet, here Lahce is again, with his newfound freedom and not just back to his terrorist dealings but recruiting for the deadly ISIS.  It just proves, yet again, we can take the animal out of the wild, but we’ll never take the wild out of the animal; it will always be his nature to hunt, kill and destroy. So, it’s only a matter of time till we see the Senior Al-Qaeda Council, back on our doorstep, ready to attack, kill and destroy, for there is no love lost there either.

However, this isn’t just OLD News, no - I dare say – it’s ancient historical news and this Administration knows it. A report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) revealed and confirmed that three of the terrorists killed since January 2013 where previous “guests” at Guantanamo Bay, when the last report to Congress was made public.

Of the 603 terrorists released from the prison, 100 are now confirmed as having returned to terrorism. Of those, 17 are dead, 27 are in custody, and 56 are free. Released detainees suspected of having returned to terrorism number 74, including two that are dead, 25 that are in custody, and 47 no longer being held.

By contrast, in January there were a total of 97 released prisoners who returned to terrorism and another 72 who were suspected of re-engaging in terrorism. Read more FreeBeacon

So, we can all see why Obama wasn’t shocked by the “terrorist recidivism rate,” as this is nothing new or shocking to this Administration, nor will it come as a huge shock when the Taliban Five attack us, in their Unholy Jihad, beheading all infidels and anyone who gets in their way. They make no bones about it; they hate our God, our Country and everything that once made it Exceptional.
