Vuja De All Over Again?

Could 2012 be deja vu all over again for House Democrats?  We can only hope so.  What's interesting is this recent academic study concerning the 2010 House election results.

Now, I don't want to disparage academia, but I think the average person with reasonable awareness of the state of the economy, could have figured out that Democrats were in big trouble in 2010, especially with the national polling running against Obamacare with over 50% of people being polled, opposing Obamacare at some level.  Every Democrat who supported Obamacare had to know they were in deep trouble in the 2010 election.  63 Democrat members of the House learned that lesson first hand when they were defeated in their re-election effort.

What I think is important to note is that 2012 is different from 2010 in this respect.  Obama's record of failure has expanded exponentially.  It has become increasingly clear that Obama has failed to demonstrate leadership in his role as president of the entire United States.  His behavior has behavior has been that of someone who is either inept and over their head for the position they hold, or they have a more sinister agenda they are desperately trying to enact.  I'm definitely leaning toward the latter view.

In either event, I believe most people would agree that Obama has been in campaign mode from the day he decided to run for the Democratic nomination for president, if not sooner.  If one thing can be said about Obama, it is that he has demonstrated a strong propensity for remaining in a campaign mode, coupled with exceptional campaign skills.  This should tell the Republican nominee, whoever that might be, to never underestimate Obama's abilities when the 2012 campaign kicks into overdrive.  Obama is capable of doing anything to win the election in November and he will do everything he can get away with to win a second term, legal or otherwise. 

Democrat legislators are in a tougher position in this election cycle because they can only run so far from Obama's record, which he has compounded from bad to worse in 2012. The one thing that people have to understand is to believe what Obama does and believe nothing he says.
