From Riehl World News it's being reported that the day before President Obama's appearance and interview on Univision, that Obama appointed the wife of the Univision owner to an important U.S. government position. I wonder if Obama has had second thoughts on that appointment, since Jorge Ramos grilled him in one of the only real media interviews that Obama has ever been subjected to.
...President Barack Obama appointed Cheryl Saban, wife of the owner of Univision, as U.S. representative to the United Nations, according to reports from various news blogs.
According to the Politico blog, Haim Saban, owner of the television network, backed Hillary Clinton in 2008, but during the summer donated $1 million to groups supporting the campaigns of Democrats. And according to another blog in Spanish of Yahoo, the appointment of Cheryl Saban to the diplomatic post was made last Wednesday, the day before Obama appeared at a forum at the University of Miami hosted by Univision. HOLDER MUST GO - Univision finds 57 unreported weapons, 16 Mexican teen murders tied to Fast & Furious
By Correctamundo
Fast & Furious is in the news yet again. And this time, the Spanish language television station Univision has conducted an exhaustive investigation of its own. And the findings keep getting uglier and uglier, the more we learn.
“On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez,” according to a version of the Univision report in English, on the ABC News website (the video below is the Spanish version with subtitles - CAUTION: SOME OF IT IS VERY DISTURBING!)

“Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers. Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.”
Citing a Mexican Army document it obtained and published, Univision reported that “[t]hree of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).”
That operation was Fast and Furious.“Univision News identified a total of 57 more previously unreported firearms that were bought by straw purchasers monitored by ATF during Operation Fast and Furious, and then recovered in Mexico in sites related to murders, kidnappings, and at least one other massacre,” the Univision report reads.
It's a shame that we have to learn this not from our own country but from a foreign television station. They're doing the work and providing us the information that our own DOJ REFUSES to do and to provide. Eric Holder needs to go and this whole Obama administration needs to go on 6 November. We simply cannot afford to have a corrupt government anymore! We cannot afford to reward individuals with more time on the job when they have willfully broken the law, disobeyed the law, overridden our Constitution by executive 'privilege', and refused to comply with requests made by our Congress and the American people, thus costing us more time, money, and lives. Eric Holder should be disbarred, plain and simple, and possibly thrown in jail. The whole of DOJ needs to be swept clean of domestic enemies, which is how they're behaving with their non-action. The WH needs to be swept clean, fumigated, and then swept clean again. It is so full of moral degradation, high-mindedness, and disrespect for the office of the presidency and for the American people, it's founding documents, and its laws.
And let us not forget Brian Terry and his family, who are continuing to suffer because they cannot get the justice they deserve. We should hang these posters up in every Post Office and bulletin across the country until something gets done.

The network also uncovered another Fast and Furious weapons “massacre.” On September 2, 2009, 18 young men were killed at “El Aliviane, a rehabilitation center in Ciudad Juarez,” according to the report.
Univision found many of these victims through “access to the list of serial numbers for weapons used in Fast and Furious” and the “list of guns seized in Mexico,” according to English subtitles on the Spanish-language video.
“After cross-referencing them both lists, it became clear that a least a hundred of them were used in crimes of all kinds,” the subtitles read. “We found 57 weapons that were not mentioned in [the U.S.] Congress’ investigation.”

Romney edges Obama in the Univision Wars
By Correctamundo
El voto hispano parece ser mejor y mejor para Mitt Romney, como lo demuestran los números en las guerras de Univision: (For our American-speaking friends, you can translate here)

Hispanic Voters
By Rob Janicki
Are Hispanics in the bag for Obama and the Democrats? A popular conception is that Hispanics are like African Americans, in that they vote in lock step with each other and that translates out to voting Democrat. The popular thought is that Republicans are in deep trouble with Hispanics over immigration and I am certain this is true with some Hispanics, but Hispanics have other more pressing issues to be concerned about, which may definitely change their political preferences this November.
[...] For at least two years, Hispanics have repeatedly said that the economy -- not immigration -- is their top concern going into the 2012 presidential elections. Even early last November, following a full month of outrage after Alabama put the harshest anti-illegal immigration laws in the country into practice, 65 percent of Hispanic registered voters reported to Univision/Latino Decisions that jobs and the economy were the top concerns. Only 23 percent cited immigration. [...]
If this continues to be true come this November, Obama is in real trouble and I'm pretty sure he and his advisers realize this. Here's an interesting contrast of Hispanic voting patterns over the past 10 years. Pay attention to the last sentence. Will Hispanics vote at all?
[...] And the ironclad belief that Hispanics only vote for Democrats? Sure, in the last few elections a majority have, but no party can comfortably rely on past numbers. In its 2002 national survey of the Latino electorate, the Pew Hispanic Center found that 49 percent of Hispanics were registered as Democrats, 26 percent as independent/other, and 20 percent as Republican.

Today, 30 percent of Hispanics consider themselves liberal, 31 percent moderate and 32 percent conservative - an almost equal distribution. But again, who will vote Democrat or Republican is the wrong question. The right one is: Will Hispanics vote at all? [...]
If Hispanics sit out the November election, who will it hurt? The answer has to be Obama and Democrats in general, as the Hispanic vote would appear to be a wash with neither the Democrats or Republicans realizing an advantage.
