COUNTDOWN: 100 Days and 100 Reasons: #39

Every day, I’ll be counting down to election day 2012. And every day, I’ll be giving you a reason why you SHOULDN’T vote for Obama. So let’s continue the countdown!

Reason #39: He's failed as a leader...and his cabinet is just as bad.

I want to focus on this weeks' UN happenings. Not only did Obama blow off Netanyahu yesterday, claiming he was too busy (he took the afternoon off according to his schedule but he'll call him between campaign speeches today), but his UN rep Susan Rice dissed Netanyahu as well by lunching with Hillary Clinton instead of staying to show US support during his speech.

What's even worse for the president is that Romney is taking MORE of an interest in the affairs of Israel and will be talking to Netanyahu as well on Friday:

President Obama refused to meet with Netanyahu on his trip to the United States, and the Israeli government presumably thought a meeting with the opposition candidate in the absence of one with the sitting president would be too provocative. But there was apparently an eagerness on the Israeli prime minister's part to talk with Romney in order to help win as broad American support as possible for the red lines he outlined in his United Nations speech with respect to the Iranian nuclear program.

As for Romney, he expects to explore Netanyahu's understanding of the red lines, and also, we are told, wants to hear Netanyahu's perspective on developments elsewhere in the Middle East.

Apparently at the request of both principals, neither of their offices has put a hard-stop on their schedules for this call, so the discussion is likely to be both substantive and substantial.

Leading from behind again. Bibi has to go to Obama's opponent to get U.S. support. And Romney is wise to jump on the chance to take the 'bull' by the horns...and Obama's given Romney a lot of 'bull' to wrestle.
