“I’m the Meat Master at Wendy’s, Been there 12 years”

I remember my parents telling me, “do well in school, go to college and get an education, or you’ll spend your life flipping burgers at minimum wage.” Isn’t that the key to a high paying job; the pride and self-respect that comes with the hard work behind the education?

This is probably why more adults are moving into the positions of fast food restaurants, not just teens. Now they are striking, again, to get the minimum wage raised to a living wage.

Employees of fast food restaurants are striking in cities around the country, bolstered by support from labor unions, churches, and other groups, demanding $15 an hour wages and a greater ability to unionize. Many consumers have complained that the expectations are unreasonable, given the type of work and the skills and drive they assume must be lacking in the workers.

However, government statistics and studies suggest that the common picture of the fast food worker is inaccurate. Not only are relatively few of them teenagers looking for some pocket money while attending school, but the number of adults working in low-paying part-time jobs against their wishes is rapidly growing.   CBS

So, instead of going to school, and furthering their education to potentially get a better job, they would sooner make excuses and whine about what they “can’t” do, then work harder to get the job done. 

Now, who is going pay for this potential living wage increase? Why you and me, the consumer, because these restaurants won’t be able to absorb the debts of Obamacare and now this new minimum wage, but liberals won’t take that into consideration before they act or speak, this is the “what about me” generation.

When our car is stuck in the mud, do we sit in it and spin our wheels, or do we get out, dig it out, and get moving again? Yes, I understand that some sit there like victims, until someone comes and bails them out, and some are survivors and refuse to let life get the better of them. That’s why our country is in the mess we’re in, we have more people with a victim-mentality than survivor-mentality.

Wendy’s and Taco Bell were never meant to be career choices. Using them for their college tuition assistance, they were only supposed to be a bus depot to get to the next milestone in the American Dream.  The American dream only a nightmare if we make it one, filled with excuses.

Syria -- Selective Humanitarianism

Let me see if I get this straight, the Hamas and Al Qaeda, our enemies, are gassing hundreds of their own people, and this is tragic to Americans, and some of our people are crying out for the president to get involved and do something about it, under the guise of “Humanitarianism”?
Now, our president has moved our battleships into strategic position and put us back on the brink of another war, but to help who, the Hamas or Al Qaeda? Craziest thing, Obama sent our boys out there, without Congressional consent; which is a clear violation of the Constitution, especially if and when he fires a shot and starts a war.

The Obama administration on Tuesday was set to build the public case for a military strike on Syria by releasing documents on last week's alleged chemical weapons attack -- with one senior Defense official telling Fox News that a U.S. strike is "not a matter of if, but when."

One day after Secretary of State John Kerry declared that the evidence of a chemical weapons attack last week in Syria in "undeniable," the White House was expected to release intelligence backing up that claim. A source close to the White House told Fox News that the documents will probably be released on Tuesday.  Foxnews

The only reason we should be out there, would be to take out the WMD, so that they can’t fall into the hands of either the Hamas or Al Qaeda, right? That would make sense, to anyone with common sense, but even Kerry said we don’t have the ability do that, from the water.

In Washington, few in the administration doubt that military action will occur. U.S. military sources tell Fox News that the planned military operation would include cruise missiles and possible long-range stealth bombers but will not target Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles.
"There is no way to 'surgically strike' Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles" without boots on the ground, a source said. 

Meanwhile, NBC News reports that missile strikes could be launched as early as Thursday. 
Senior U.S. Defense officials tell Fox News that military assets are in position and could strike at any moment, once President Obama gives the order.

The administration, though, has decided to work through NATO; an emergency session in Brussels has been called for Wednesday. Any military action is unlikely to take place before that meeting.


However, Obama has promised not to send troops, but we’ve already seen what his “word” is worth, haven’t we:

Isn’t this ironic, the president that tried his hardest not to become Bush, has been placed in his shoes.  However, where was our “Great and Noble, American Humanity” when Saddam gassed and killed 180 Thousand (that’s a T) Kurds in Halabja, Iraq ?

What, that wasn’t your president or our civil war to fight, and since this is your choice for president you don’t see a problem sending our soldiers to die for the Hamas and Al Qaeda, our enemy? So you have selective humanity.

Sharpton -“[Color Biased] System Worked”?

The pious, race baiting, Al Sharpton has been called to the carpet over his lack of action over the needless killing of the young Australian athlete, Christopher Lane. However, now he’s surprising everyone with his on-the-record response.

Rev. Al Sharpton responded Thursday to calls for him to address the Oklahoma murder of Australian student athlete Chris Lane, saying he is not protesting because the killing was not racial and “the system worked.” -  Politico

The civil rights leader, who was a leading voice in the protests over Trayvon Martin’s death, told viewers that police said Lane was the victim of a random act and there was no racial motive to the killing.


Of course it’s not “racially motivated,” these are black kids, killing a white man, right? Please, let us not look at the evidence, which the mainstream media isn’t looking at, because it doesn’t fit their agenda.

One of the Oklahoma teenagers accused of killing 23-year-old Australian Christopher Lane had previously posted images online showing himself posing with guns and wads of cash.

And three days before what police call the indiscriminate shooting, the suspect, 15-year-old James Edwards Jr., tweeted, “With my n****s when it’s time to start taken life’s.” Fox  

It had previously emerged that Edwards had posted on his Twitter profile that he 'hated white people' and boasted that he beat up five white people - using the derogatory term 'woods' - after the George Zimmerman acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case.
'Ayeee I knocced out 5 woods since Zimmerman court!:) lol sh*t ima keep sleepin sh*t! #ayeeee,' he wrote.  

In another, he said: '90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM'.

This isn’t racially motivated, Mr. Sharpton? You and our society was so quick to call Mr. Zimmerman a racist, with a single word, “they,” and yet these thugs are just kids, unaccountable, “targeting, killing and knocking out white people,” because “they are bored,” and not because they hate nasty white people?”  Yet, though their character, words, actions and evidence tell us a different story.

If Luna, a bi-racial boy, isn’t considered black, does that mean you don’t consider Obama “black” either?  Maybe the police are afraid to call this a racial, hate crime, because they’ve seen what came of Zimmerman, and they know that our society is full of hateful, immature, people, which live by double standards; right Mr. Sharpton.

However, we aren’t even allowed to do that, today. If we “judge” a black person by their character, we are called racist, because they say we are judging them by their “skin color” not the actions of their character.  Is this the world that he dreamed of, fought and died for, and you are destroying, Mr. Sharpton?

Wisdom is learning from Others Mistakes

We watched half of our once great United States vote for a man that is, notably, a great motivational speaker, had no experience in the political arena and was voted into office based solely on the color of his skin, rather than the content of his character or his political ideas. Will we make that mistake again?

There is a push, for Dr. Ben Carson to run for President in 2016, and although he has not come out and said he would, he’s used words like, “if God leads me to run,” teasing the people that want him to run.  I admire his testimony and career as a heart surgeon, and his unwavering faith, however, looking further into what he stands for; I won’t support him or any candidate that doesn't completely stand behind our Constitution and our rights as Americans.

What, you were getting emotionally involved and swept away with Dr. Carson, like you did with Obama, and didn't know that he doesn't support your rights, freedoms and liberties? I can’t blame you; his profession was dissecting the human brain.

Appearing on Glenn Beck‘s radio show, Dr. Benjamin Carson took a vastly different stance from most conservatives on the issue of gun control, claiming you shouldn't be able to own semi-automatic weapons in large cities.

Carson became a new found conservative hero last month when he spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast and laid out a series of criticisms of ObamaCare, political correctness, and tax policy right in front of the president himself. Many called the speech “inappropriate” given the apolitical nature of the event, but many conservatives lauded Carson for his “bold” and “sensible” suggestions for policy reform.

Asked by Beck for his thoughts on the Second Amendment, Carson gave the popular pro-gun argument: “There’s a reason for the Second Amendment; people do have the right to have weapons.”

But when asked whether people should be allowed to own “semi-automatic weapons,” the doctor replied: “It depends on where you live.”

“I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and I’m afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it,” Carson elaborated.

However, if you live “out in the country somewhere by yourself” and want to own a semi-automatic weapon, he added, “I've no problem with that.” Mediate 

Well, with a comment like this, it would seem that Dr. Carson may potentially make a better Vice President then a President. All of the beatings, robberies, murders, and killings we’re seeing in the news today aren't being done in “the country,” they are being committed in “big cities” before the police are even called to respond.  

First, there's more valuable stuff to steal in big cities, so robbery is more profitable. Second, it's easier to be anonymous. If you mug someone in Mayberry, there's a good chance your victim will recognize you and report the crime. Beyond that they threw up their hands, suggesting that perhaps the rest of the difference might be due to the fact that families are less intact in big cities. But even after running batteries of statistical tests, they were still left scratching their heads. Sure, there are more broken families in big cities, but that "still leaves unanswered the question of why this variable is so important in leading to criminal behavior." What's more, "the results on higher benefit levels and lower arrest rates are intriguing but also not entirely satisfying."  Motherjones

Unfortunately, the horrific truth is, police officers are seldom in the neighborhood when you need them, they are only there to write the report, call a crew in to take pictures, collect evidence, “clean up the mess,” and hopefully, catch the bad guys, after-the-fact. 

So, Dr. Carson, it’s better to go to the grave having a gun, and Second Amendment rights, then go to the grave because we didn't.

This is what we’ll get, nominating another “great motivational, non-political” candidate for President, color having nothing to do with it, but will sadly play a major part in it, as we've seen with Obama. So, America, will we get “emotionally invested” in another race-baiting, divisive political war, or learn what our Candidates stand for and vote for what is best for our Country?

UPS -- Another One Bites the Dust

As our Republicans continue to surrender, one-by-one, like the French Army, yet another company, their employees and their families have fallen victim to Obama and his health care’s burdensome law.  It has come to light, that UPS has informed their employees, they can insure their employees, but thanks to OBAMACARE, "your spouse is 'on their own'.” Their reason?

Rising medical costs, "combined with the costs associated with the Affordable Care Act, have made it increasingly difficult to continue providing the same level of health care benefits to our employees at an affordable cost," UPS said in a memo to employees.

The company told white-collar workers two months ago that 15,000 working spouses eligible for coverage at their own employers would be excluded from the UPS plan in 2014. The Fortune 100 firm expects the move, which applies to non-union U.S. workers only, to save about $60 million a year, said company spokesman Andy McGowan. UsaToday

However, they aren't alone; other companies are doing this too, in an effort to stay solvent, in the face of “rising medical costs.”

But experts say more firms are likely to drop spouses altogether, whether they work or not—especially when the new federal health-care exchanges open in 2014, providing an alternative for spouses left out in the cold. “When there’s a place for people to go, employers won’t feel as beholden or compelled to cover the spouse,” says Joan Smyth, an employee benefits consultant with Mercer.

Firms that recently decided to drop spouses from their plans range from private insurance agencies to school systems and universities like Ball State, as well as large companies like pump and valve manufacturer Flowserve. Wisconsin-based furniture company KI carved out spouses this year when couples flocked to its plan for the first time during open enrollment. “Now, each employer is responsible for its own employee,” says Timothy Van Severen, corporate risk manager for KI, which insures about 1,700 employees in its health plan. “We were going to see a higher claim cost if we didn't do that, because of the migration coming back to us.”  Beforeitsnews

Wait, we were promised, “If you like your healthcare, you can keep it.” It’s starting to feel like Ground Hogs Day; we've lived through this already, and tragically know how this will end, right? If we want to keep our healthcare, and our jobs, we need to defund Obamacare and replace it with HR2300, Patient Choice, which also accepts pre-existing conditions.

Bradley Manning: I'm Not Just Playing a Drama Queen In Prison - Call Me Chelsea

[Bradley] Manning announced the decision in a written statement provided to NBC's "Today" show, asking supporters to refer to him by his new name and the feminine pronoun. The statement was signed "Chelsea E. Manning."

"As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me. I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female. Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible," the statement read. CBS News

The sad thing is, in ten years, manning will be eligible for parole and Chelsea will be strutting on the streets. We can’t forget there is Federal Standing for the Government and Taxpayers to pay for “her” “change of life,” while Manning is prison.  I remind you about a case last year, when a federal judge in Boston ordered the MDC to provide a sex-change surgery, at the tax payers’ expense, to an inmate serving life in prison for murder. The judge ruled that a failure to do so would have violated the prisoner's Eighth Amendment right to “adequate treatment.”

U.S. District Judge Mark Wolf ruled in the case of Michelle Kosilek, born as Robert Kosilek, who is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for murdering his wife in 1990. Kosilek who identifies as female, has received hormone treatments and lives as a woman in an all-male prison. Wolf found that surgery is the "only adequate treatment" for Kosilek's "serious medical need."  US News

This is the new liberal, open-minded America, where Obama sets the gay society up on pedestals as “heroes,” and our prison system is where we go when we have an “identity crisis” and need new body parts, on the tax payer.

Martin Luther King's Dream turned Nightmare

Tens of thousands of people converged on Washington DC, Saturday, to commemorate Martin Luther Kings “I Had a Dream” Speech, 50 years ago. Leading the crowd was none other than the pious, race baiter Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III, Martin Luther King’s oldest son.

"King saw the possibility of an Obama 50 years ago. The world is made of dreamers that change reality because of their dream. And what we must do is we must give our young people dreams again," Sharpton said.

The "National Action to Realize the Dream" was led by Sharpton and Martin Luther King III, King's oldest son.

"We ain't going to let nobody turn us around. We're going to keep marching down to freedom land," King told the crowd. "I know that Daddy is smiling up above knowing that your presence here today will assure the fulfillment of his dream." Chicago Tribune

Does the son really understand and grasp the father's dream, or just what he wants it to represent?

However, if we “judge” a black person by their character, today, we are called racist, because they say we are judging them by their “skin color” not the actions of their character, Dr. King.  Is this the world that you dreamed of, sir?

Wouldn't Martin Luther King be proud of how far the black community that he fought so hard for, and the youth of America have come?

Police confirmed that a 16-year-old had been charged with first degree robbery and first degree murder in the Wednesday parking lot attack. They said they were still looking for a second 16-year-old suspect, Kenan Adams-Kinard.

The Spokane Police Department said in a press release officers responded to reports of an assault Wednesday and found the victim, 88-year-old Delbert Belton, in his car with serious head injuries. He died Thursday in the hospital. Fox News 

Memphis police have identified two suspects they say doused a bystander with gasoline before setting him on fire more two weeks ago, according to a report by WMC-TV in Memphis.

The brutal attack left the Memphis man with burns to more than 60 percent of his body. He remains in serious condition at a hospital burn unit where he is being treated, the news reports state.

Police identified 26-year-old Robert Glasper and 19-year-old Renard King Thursday as the primary suspects in this horrific attack.  Blaze 

Two teen boys in this coastal city were charged with murder Friday, accused in the fatal shooting of a 13-month-old boy who was in a stroller being pushed by his mother.  CNN 

The wind milling fists and stomping feet rain down blows on the 13-year-old boy. Trapped on the floor between the bus seats, he cries out as he receives fierce punch after vicious kick from the three bigger, older youths.  Fox News

It is really sad, Martin Luther King had a dream, and it was a great and noble one. Through excuses, the blame-game, and enabling race baiters, they have allowed this Administration to underhandedly destroy his vision, and walk them backwards, to the 60s. 

                                     

Rock Star Occupying Presidents

Michelle Obama would like us to believe that the honor of President, First Lady and First Children of the White House has "prison elements to it," Obama said at a forum in Africa this week. "But it's a really nice prison. You can't complain." However, at the first chance of “parole,” she chose four more years of “incarceration?” Yeah, we all know she enjoys the wonderful clothes, vacation, servant, and Hollywood package that comes with her “prison package.”  This must be why Hillary Clinton is considering a run at the Prison Life, right? Oh wait, has it been long enough for America to have forgotten what the Clinton’s were like, as President and First Lady, and are we ready to put her in the Oval Office?

For the third time since he took office, President Clinton and his family are spending a holiday at a luxurious resort in a vacation home borrowed from an absentee host whom they hardly know.

Their host is Paul Bob Burge, a West Virginia businessman who also lent his rose-colored Palmetto Dunes beach-front home to the Clintons a year ago, before the President's inauguration.

Last summer the Clintons spent four nights in Vail, Colo., at a deluxe condominium borrowed from Leonard Firestone, the tire magnate, then 10 nights on Martha's Vineyard off Massachussetts in a sprawling house volunteered by Robert S. McNamara, the former Defense Secretary.

Unlike their predecessors, the Clintons have no home or vacation retreat of their own. The President's aides say the Clintons have little choice but to rely on the kindness of near-strangers if they are to escape the confines of the White House. Vague on Gifts in Kind

White House officials would not say why Mr. Clinton did not simply rent a home. Nor has he yet made public an estimate of the value of the gifts, which at current real estate rates would surely be many thousands of dollars.  NYT

The jet-set lifestyle and vacationing continued into his short-lived second term. Where do we think Obama got the idea that it was okay to use taxpayer’s money to collect passport stamps?

There he goes again. Our globe-trotting president was flying high this month, traveling to Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Oman, and Switzerland. That brings the total out-of-country days for President Clinton, the Traveler-in-Chief, to 212. He's racked up visits to 66 countries -- some more than once -- and 2 territories not recognized as countries. He is, by any measure, the most traveled U.S. president ever.

And just how much is this latest foray estimated to cost the American taxpayer? ABC News, apparently relying on unnamed Pentagon sources, has reported a price tag: a cool $50 million -- the "most expensive overseas trip ever taken by a president," as they put it during the March 23 broadcast of World News Tonight. And because the newscast did not fully identify the costs, it is unclear if this estimate includes only military costs - or even only Air Force costs.  New Republic

Think he’s “lost his touch,” being out of office, for a decade, plus; think again. Remember when he threw a part fundraiser, part birthday... a three day fundraiser? Yeah, sell me another one, but he was always doing stuff like this.  Call him rock star in chief.  

Former President Bill Clinton, who turned 65 in August, is celebrating in grand fashion this weekend - however belatedly - with a three-day Hollywood party

The 42nd president kicked off the extravaganza Friday night.
 Just as at his inauguration nearly 20 years ago, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks kicked off the festivities.

"We've seen the Clintons combine politics and their private lives quite a bit," observes Politico's Glenn Thrush. "This is a natural for him, to leverage his fame and his love of partying with his philanthropic efforts. So this (Hollywood) is the perfect place to be doing it."

The party continues Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl, with performances by Lady Gaga, Usher, Kenny Chesney, and a special acoustic set from Bono and The Edge, who performed for Mr. Clinton at the opening of his presidential library back in 2004.

He's long fused his love of music with politics. As a presidential candidate in 1992, Mr. Clinton jazzed viewers and audience members with a now-famous saxophone performance on "The Arsenio Hall show.

His relationship with L.A.'s "A-listers" is legendary. And even though he's been out of office for more than a decade, Mr. Clinton is still cashing in on his Hollywood connections.

"With a half million dollars to a million dollars," says Tina Daunt of The Hollywood Reporter, "you get access to the Clintons, into the brunch, golfing with Bill, the top seats at all venues."  CBS

If their spending and vacations weren’t enough to make us think twice, do we really want a woman that shows she has a pattern of failed judgment calls, to lead our Country? 

1995, Hillary certainly had reason to be worried about her husband's proclivities. A biography of Bill was published which contained irrefutable evidence from one of their most trusted friends, Betsey Wright, who had been chief of staff when he was the governor of Arkansas.

She was quoted as confirming that Arkansas state troopers had helped solicit women for Bill. Moreover, she revealed that in 1987 she had personally tried to dissuade him from running for President by presenting him with a list of his purported lovers...

By February 1997, Bill Clinton's new lover was sharing his voicemail messages with several friends. A few months later, according to Lewinsky, he told her he had engaged in "hundreds of affairs" during his marriage. At 40, he said, he'd been so unhappy that he had thought of divorcing Hillary and leaving politics. Instead, he confided, he'd decided to stay married largely for Chelsea's sake. Since then, he'd kept a calendar on which he indicated "the days when he'd been good"...

When the scandal finally broke, it shook the Clinton administration to its core. Hillary later claimed that she had known nothing until her husband awakened her early one morning to explain that Lewinsky was a friend who had "misinterpreted his attention". He had done nothing improper, he insisted.

The First Lady appointed herself Bill's defender-in-chief. Soon afterwards, she was told by an aide that there would soon be revelations about Bill's voicemails, his preference for oral sex and the apparent existence of a Gap dress with semen stains. His warnings made no difference: the prospect of all-out war seemed to energize Hillary.

It was Hillary who decided when the time was right for Bill to say more publicly - which led to the most memorable words of the Clinton presidency: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky." ...

But unless evidence of his affairs proved incontrovertible, she simply preferred to turn a blind eye. To keep her marriage going, she had years ago devised a "don't ask, don't tell" approach. "Tolerating Bill's weakness," said her close friend Susan Thomases, "has always been part of her relationship with him." What Hillary found harder to tolerate was public humiliation. Time and again, she rose to Bill's defense, even when the facts overwhelmingly suggested that he was lying...

When Bill's former Arkansas bodyguards blabbed to the Press about his womanizing - not to mention Bill's avowal that "oral sex isn't considered adultery" - it was Hillary who came up with the strategy that the White House should pursue: "Go after specific things about the story - dates and times. We remember the outcome of this story, as well as her part in Watergate, but we now see that she was an active participant in the cover up of.  She has a history of poor judgment, in the backing of dishonest men, and helping them cover up their poor choices. Look at Obama and Benghazi. How much of the talking point editing has her thumb print on it, and how many times did we watch her on camera blame a video.

As much as we, as a society, have allowed Obama to vilify the successful and the wealthy, it amazes me that the liberal left would even think to embrace the Clintons at all, with their loyal connections and love of the very rich and famous, or allow ourselves to consider going down a path with someone that may put us in a dangerous position with one hastily made failure to act, or wrong decision. However, when we forget our history,
