Catching up with the Women of the Obama Administration: A Retrospective

It's no surprise to anyone with more than two active brain cells that the officials appointed to key positions within the Obama Administration are ill-equipped - and that's putting it mildly. They are simply unqualified and therefore have no business being in these leadership positions. As someone on Twitter recently opined (h/t @HooksWill), it seems to be that once each of these Obama hacks resigns, their flaws and inefficiencies in job performance are revealed. Let's take a look at just a few of them. 

Remember "Big Sis", Janet Napolitano? She left the White House to take a nice cushy job at a University but not without leaving a big wake. It was under her "leadership" that rampant sexism was alive and well in the Department of Homeland Security. Headlines at the time likened it to a female frat house .

"Female aides to Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano abuse male underlings, and subject the men to crude sexual taunts, according to an explosive lawsuit filed in federal court.

In fact, according to official James Hayes, males were treated like "lap dogs."

"(Suzanne Barr, of ICE) moved the entire contents of the offices of three employees, including name plates, computers and telephones, to the men's bathroom at ICE headquarters," the suit alleges.

This is what occurs when "Big Sis" appoints her Arizona cronies, like Barr and Dora Schriro, to top positions in the agency. They are simply unqualified for their jobs, and have no business being in leadership posts there.

Napolitano is rumored to be in a lesbian relationship with Schriro, which if true, would constitute a serious conflict of interest. However, this issue is really about competence. It's time for them all to step aside! Not only is sexual harassment illegal, but the nation's safety is being jeopardized.

Hayes, agent in charge of ICE's New York field, said he originally filed an equal opportunity complaint, but Napolitano retaliated by launching an investigation into him. He is seeking $335,000 in damages."

It was also under Napolitano that Vets along with members of the Tea Party were officially considered to be enemies of the state and labeled "terrorists". 

"In 2009, she issued a DHS report entitled, "Rightwing [sic] Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.” In it, conservatives who prefer local government over federal government, Christians who believe in the “end times,” and single-issue groups, such as groups that oppose abortion and illegal immigration, are singled out and compared to dangerous insurgents, who have “the potential to turn violent.” People concerned about the Second Amendment have “the potential to facilitate criminal activity and violence.” Conservatives are compared to dangerous extremists like the late Timothy McVeigh, who bombed the Oklahoma IRS building. It is claimed in the memo that these types of conservatives have formed their political views because they are racist against blacks and Obama. At the end, readers are urged to report these kinds of people to DHS."

She also failed miserably at defending our country's borders. "During her tenure, DHS implemented a widespread policy of allowing department lawyers to selectively determine which illegal immigrants to pursue for deportation, and which to let go. ICE agents accused her in a lawsuit of failing to properly enforce immigration law over it. Napolitano also enacted a Dream Act-style policy giving young illegal immigrants a reprieve. Arrests of illegal immigrants went up under Napolitano, evidence that more were sneaking across the border."

Yet she stood up and claimed, with great confidence, that our border is better now than it has ever been. 

Next up in the Obama batting order...Hillary Clinton. 

BENGHAZI! Does anything more need be said about this? All that remains is to prosecute her for her role in covering up this tragedy. 

Then there was the culture of complete corruption at the State Department, under her watch, that came to light right after her departure.

"The Diplomatic Security Service, or the DSS, is the State Department's security force, charged with protecting the secretary of state and U.S. ambassadors overseas and with investigating any cases of misconduct on the part of the 70,000 State Department employees worldwide.

CBS News' John Miller reports that according to an internal State Department Inspector General's memo, several recent investigations were influenced, manipulated, or simply called off. The memo obtained by CBS News cited eight specific examples. Among them: allegations that a State Department security official in Beirut "engaged in sexual assaults" on foreign nationals hired as embassy guards and the charge and that members of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's security detail "engaged prostitutes while on official trips in foreign countries" -- a problem the report says was "endemic."

The memo also reveals details about an "underground drug ring" was operating near the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and supplied State Department security contractors with drugs."

More findings during Clinton's time as Secretary of State revealed these bombshells. 

" * A DS agent was called off a case against US Ambassador to Belgium Howard Gutman over claims that he solicited prostitutes, including minors.

“The agent began his investigation and had determined that the ambassador routinely ditched his protective security detail in order to solicit sexual favors from both prostitutes and minor children,” says the memo.

“The ambassador’s protective detail and the embassy’s surveillance detection team . . . were well aware of the behavior.”

Undersecretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy ordered the investigation ceased, and the ambassador remains in place, according to the memo.Gutman was a big Democratic donor before taking the post, having raised $500,000 for President Obama’s 2008 campaign and helping finance his inaugural.

* At least seven agents in Clinton’s security detail hired prostitutes while traveling with her in various countries, including Russia and Colombia.

Investigators called the use of prostitutes by Clinton’s security agents “endemic.”

The liaisons with prostitutes allegedly occurred in the same hotel where Clinton slept, according to sources familiar with the incident.But the agents involved got little more than a wrist-slap. Three were removed from the security detail, given one-day suspensions and reassigned."

Then there was (and still is) the matter of Lois Lerner, IRS ring-leader for the targeting of Tea Party and other Conservative and Patriot groups seeking tax-exempt status. 

"House Republicans released a blistering 48-page report on Tuesday detailing former Internal Revenue Service (IRS) official Lois Lerner's involvement in a scandal involving the alleged targeting of conservative groups applying for tax exempt status.

The report, released by Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), said Lerner "was extensively involved in targeting conservative-oriented tax-exempt applicants for inappropriate scrutiny," and said Lerner, "engaged in questionable tactics to target conservative groups" during her former role at the Federal Elections Commission (FEC)."

More information and very revealing emails from the accused Lerner are coming to light as the investigations is still on-going. Clearly a partisan operative for the Left the most recent emails obtained reveal she was eager to work for Organizing For America. OFA is a community organizing project of the Democratic National Committee.

Last week the House Ways and Means Committee sent a letter to the Department of Justice officially seeking criminal charges against her.

"In a draft letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, the committee alleges:

• Lerner violated the civil rights of Tea Party groups seeking tax-exempt status. "The most significant piece to me was that there was a potential intervention in the appeals process," said Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich. "We have some evidence that Lois Lerner intervened in that process." E-mails show Lerner e-mailed the head of IRS appeals in early 2013, describing the cases as "sensitive and visible" and trying to set up a meeting outside the normal appeals process.

• Lerner impeded investigations by the Treasury Department and Congress by giving misleading answers to questions about when the targeting began. Specifically, she said the Cincinnati IRS office was seeing an uptick in applications from political groups when her e-mails suggest she knew there was no hard data to support the statement.

• She may have disclosed confidential taxpayer information by forwarding sensitive IRS e-mails to a personal account she appeared to share with her husband, a Washington attorney."

This brings us to the most recently ousted Obama Cabinet member, Kathleen Sebelius. It was under her supervision that the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, was pathetically rolled out and (the parts that weren't delayed) implemented.

From the disastrous roll out and the now infamous website glitches to the fact that the sign-up numbers touted by the Administration simply don't add up, the hits just keep on coming with this one.

I still wonder what caused more freezes this year- Healthcare.gov or the Polar Vortex? 

Glitches and freeze-ups made it virtually impossible for individuals to even access the website to check out their options for healthcare coverage under the new law.

Once people were able to access the site the sticker shock of premiums shed light on the cold hard fact that Americans were sold a bill of goods that the Obama Administration simply could not deliver. 

And there are the security issues. 

"Lawmakers are calling for it to be shut down. In addition, professionals are warning potential users to beware of the gaping security flaws, which could expose to hackers and criminals the most private and intimate data of Americans trying to buy health insurance through the federal government’s so-called “marketplace.”

 In other words, the personal and medical information of anyone deciding to use the website — millions of Americans have already lost their insurance policies owing to ObamaCare, Obama’s known lies about “you can keep it” notwithstanding — may end up in the hands of whoever wants it. Identity thieves are among the primary concerns. Among other potential dangers, Kennedy and other cyber-security experts have said that everything from personal information to users’ computers themselves could be vulnerable to being hijacked via the ObamaCare website. Even basic industry standards on security have not been followed, they said. Incredibly, despite strong pressure, the Obama administration also refused to adopt rules requiring federal officials to notify Americans whose private information has been breached via the government health-insurance website. In other words, anyone who uses the ObamaCare site could have their personal data stolen — and never even know about it."

"Professional hacker and web expert David Kennedy testified Thursday on Capitol Hill the Obamacare website’s security issues have not improved since his prior testimony last November, Fox News reports.

In fact, Kennedy said, many of the vulnerabilities have actually gotten worse:

DAVID KENNEDY: Healthcare.gov is not secure today. And nothing’s really changed since the November 19th testimony. In fact, from November 19th testimony it’s even worse. Additional security researchers have come into play, providing additional research, additional findings, that we can definitely tell that the website is not getting any better.

With only 5 members of President Obama's original Cabinet remaining, they have to be wondering, along with each of us, which one of them is next. I nominate Eric Holder.

Tea Time With RINO Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)

Mr. Flip-flop is at it again. Some days McConnell stands with the Tea Party, some days he’s dead set against them. I guess Saturday was one of the latter.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says he isn't worried about tea party-backed candidates challenging GOP incumbents in this year's midterm elections.

"I think we are going to crush them everywhere," McConnell told the New York Times in an interview published Saturday. "I don't think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country."

McConnell is one of several senators facing tea party opposition in their primary races this spring. McConnell's main opponent is Kentucky businessman Matt Bevin, who has spent the campaign attacking the senator's conservative credentials. As the Associated Press reported last month, McConnell and other GOP incumbents have started to come out aggressively against these candidates, using opposition research to undermine them...  

The country's in the worst shape it's been in since the Great Depression. Epic unemployment, poverty, foreclosures, 50+ million on food stamps, multiple new wars in the making, corporations more powerful than ever, the medical system imploding under Obamacare....you get the picture.

And the establishment GOP is more concerned about winning than about turning anything around.

Winning what exactly? Do they like what they see? Do they like the results of the failing collectivism they vote to support? As the old saying goes, the proof is in the pudding. And I have yet to see any proof that the platform and policies of the Left have made any lasting improvements in this country. And with the likes of McConnell and all the other RINOs high on perks, pork, and power, I don’t see that the current Republican policies are any better.  It’s time for sweeping changes come November.

A personal message to Senator McConnell from me:

If there’s one thing you don’t want to do as a GOP incumbent, its piss off the Tea Party. They may not have Rove’s giant sacks of money backing them or the mainstream media lickspittles covering their butts at every turn, but they have a doggedness that you would be a fool to underestimate. Want proof?  It’s called 2010. Bring. It. On.

During a filibuster-style radio interview in Milwaukee Friday, senior Republican Congressman James Sensenbrenner (Wisconsin) charged that the State of Texas as a whole had a tendency to discriminate against minority voters and should be placed back under Holder Justice Department supervision thanks to his proposed legislation...

When pressed to address a recent interview with James O’Keefe at a constituent meeting about how his legislation would strip voter protections from white voters, Rep. Sensenbrenner echoed sentiments of O’Keefe’s progressive detractors.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back: Illegal Immigrant ID’s meet Political Correctness

The town of backwards bureaucrats has given the green light for issuing driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. Last week, a D.C. Council committee adopted a provision that would allow illegal immigrants to get the same driver’s licenses as other D.C. residents. Upon hearing the news, I was pleasantly surprised and wondered what caused their seemingly sudden change of heart. After all, it was these same Progressive bureaucrats who were whining and crying in the months after the 2012 Presidential election, that requiring illegals to obtain such identification was somehow “racist” and an effort to suppress their votes.

Then I read the fine print. The original provision, set forth by D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray, included a requirement that the licenses would include some type of marking or stamp to indicate that they were, in fact, not legal citizens of the United States. But members of the council committee shot down that portion of the legislation, citing it was discriminatory in nature. Council member Mary Cheh said in an interview this morning on WMAL that the stamp or mark indicating that they were illegal was “a scarlet letter” and singled them out. A committee report on the bill said, “Marking the licenses of undocumented District residents sends a symbolic message. “It tells those residents that although the government supports expanding the opportunities for them to engage in city life, those opportunities must come at a cost: that because they are undocumented they are part of a sub-class of District residents.”

God forbid we actually label these people what they are – illegal! Their very first interaction with our nation’s laws was to break them! Wouldn’t it make sense to have an indicator on the license so that if they get pulled over or picked up by law enforcement they are immediately alerted to the fact that the person is not a citizen? There are different procedures to follow based on such information. Last year, I read a story where an illegal alien was charged with the murder of another illegal alien. He was subsequently released and charges were dropped because the translator botched the reading of his Miranda Rights. An indicator system might be a catalyst for implementing more streamlined protocol for the handling of illegals that commit crimes within our borders.  It’s not a provision set forth from malice, but rather from common sense. But it might hurt their feelings….*plays the world’s smallest violin*.

The report further reasoned that, because the Real ID Act of 2005 is not being federally enforced at this time, the city could dodge its implementation for now. Why go to the trouble of enacting new laws based solely on the fact that current laws aren’t enforced?! That’s government for ya! I’ve got an easy solution that would save the government time and money, and you and me some grief. Secure the border and enforce immigration laws already on the books!
