Senate Pay Raises - A Brief History
I used the year Joe Biden entered the Senate as a freshman Senator (1973) as a beginning in order to chart Senate salaries and the number of times the august body of meaningless blab has unilaterally voted themselves pay raises.
I say unilaterally because naturally the House of Reps agreed to the raises since they also voted themselves raises in the same years.
It appears pay raises are the one thing CONgress takes a bipartisan approach to.
A few things in the source chart made total accuracy impossible to ascertain. Such as the month of year the senate would vote themselves raises and beginning of fiscal year.
But the numbers are close enough for government work.
Unfortunately the source chart I used ends with the year 2008.
No matter, that was Joe's last year in the Seanate before stumbling into the Vice Presidency.
I'm disheartened enough by the following numbers that I am not going to delve into his current salary and perks.
Any volunteers to total up the amount of money Joe Biden has collected in his +40 years at the public teat?
1973 - 1975 - $42,500 per year
1976 - $44,600
1977 - 1979 - $57,500 per year
1980 - 1982 - $60,662.50 per year
1983 - $69,800
1984 - $72,600
1985 - 1986 - $75,100 per year
1987 - 1989 - $89,500 per year
1990 - $98,400
1991 - $101,900
1992 - $129,500
1993 - 1997 - $133,600 per year
1998 - 1999 - $136,700 per year

2002 - $150,00
2003 - $154,700
2004 - $158,100
2005 - $162,100
2006 - 2007 - $165,200 per year
2008 - $169,300

Hillary’s Biggest Regret (guess what it is?)
By Elizabeth
Nelson
Why is it,
that when liberals “apologize” they are instantly forgiven, as if their mea culpa was supposed to absolve them of their
sin, when it never seems to work that way for the “hung out to dry” Republican?
“Making decisions with imperfect information” …
“Best of your ability”, “2 diplomats and I can say it now, since it’s public
information, 2 CIA operatives.”
So many
unanswered questions; what were all those CIA operatives doing in Benghazi and why
exactly was Stevens there? We still don’t have all the answers.
Yet now Hill-billy
wants us to “absolve” her of her sins so that it will make it easier for
America to elect her and promote her to a higher office. Why would we want to do that, so that she can
make more “decisions with imperfect information to the best of her ability?” Sure, we see how that turned out so well, the
first time, didn’t we?
And on the other hand we have...

Here, Johnny - read Boy Meets Boy; it's on CA's LGBT approved reading list
By Correctamundo
Californication just keeps sinking deeper and deeper into the pit of depravity, all in the name of diversity, inclusion, and political expediency.
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender literature are included in the California Department of Education's newest reading list for students K-12 that includes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender literature, prompting complaints from critics who say a leftist agenda is being pushed on kids, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
"It's a frightening trend," Sandy Rios, host of a morning radio show on American Family Radio or AFR Talk told the newspaper. "The reading lists are very overtly propagating a point of view that is at odds with most American parents. Leftist educators are advocates of everything from socialism to sexual anarchy. It's very base; it's raping the innocence of our children. "
The CA Dept of Education has a searchable Recommended Literature List database which I decided to search.
I first searched for gay, lesbian, transgender for up through the 5th grade and nothing came up. Then I searched for 6-8 and came up with these:

I first searched for gay, lesbian, transgender for up through the 5th grade and nothing came up. Then I searched for 6-8 and came up with these:
Title: Face in Every Window, A
Annotation: A family composed of a teenage boy, his fearful mother, and his developmentally disabled father win a house into which they invite other social misfits. They are joined by a gay man, a runaway girl, and others who provide a face in every window. Mature situations and emotional intensity are depicted.
Title: Totally Joe
Title: Totally Joe
Annotation: Funny and introspective, Joe is a gay seventh-grader whose teacher gives him the assignment to write an “alphabiography”—his life story, from A to Z. Through the assignment, Joe explores issues of friendship, family, school, and being bullied. He faces his sexuality, questioning gender expectations and traditional roles as he realizes he is gay. Because Joe is different, he is tormented by Kevin, who calls Joe disparaging names and falsely accuses him of kissing a jock named Colin, who is not yet ready to come out as gay. This book inspired the national “No Name-Calling Week” adopted in school districts across the United States.
Next, I searched for gay, lesbian, sexuality for grades 9-12 and came up with these (there were 31 - I'm only showing a few of them):
Title: Am I Blue? Coming Out from the Silence
Next, I searched for gay, lesbian, sexuality for grades 9-12 and came up with these (there were 31 - I'm only showing a few of them):
Title: Am I Blue? Coming Out from the Silence
Annotation: Short stories by various well-known authors explore how homosexuality affects young people's lives, through personal identity, parent or teacher orientation, friends, and other connections. Many stories are humorous, and all illuminate aspects of the gay/lesbian issue. This book addresses controversial issues of interest to many adolescents and includes scenes and language that reflect mature content. Before handing the text to a child, educators and parents should read the book and know the child.
Title: Ash
Title: Ash
Annotation: This Cinderella retelling details the story of Ash, who lives under the control of her evil stepmother and longs to escape. Ash finds freedom only through reading and by wishing a fairy will come one day to save her and take her away. This wish comes true, and she is taken to a new world where she falls in love with Kaisa, a huntress. Their friendship grows, and Ash begins to think everything will work out. But there are always obstacles. This well-told fantasy story will appeal to teens who are looking for strong female characters and especially to those looking for lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) characters. This book was nominated for the Lambda Young Adult Literature Award.
Title: Boy Meets Boy
Annotation: This unique novel tells the story of Paul, who lives in a town where homosexuality is accepted, and of Tony, who lives in a neighboring town where religious beliefs are strict and being gay is not embraced. Rumors begin to fly about Paul and Tony, and Tony’s parents are the most concerned. Eventually the friendship is forbidden. But things get more complicated as Paul falls for Noah, and the confusion of adolescent love and friendship comes to a climax. This coming-of-age novel depicts the emotional experiences of teenagers while also tackling issues of parental control and how communities influence the ways in which people define themselves. The book addresses controversial issues of interest to many adolescents and includes scenes and language that reflect mature content. Before handing the text to a child, educators and parents should read the book and know the child.
Title: Hard Love
Annotation: Ever since John's parents were divorced, his mother hasn't touched him, not even accidentally {? - what does that mean}. When he visits his dad in Boston every weekend, his father never seems to be around. John feels alone in the world until he meets a teen named Marisol, who has published a very honest 'zine about herself. Even though he knows that Marisol is a lesbian, John mistakes their growing intimacy for love, and a disastrous date to his junior prom leaves that friendship in ruins.
These are just some examples on the approved list. What's interesting are some books that have been banned in the U.S.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451 has to head this list of "ironic books banned." Why? Fahrenheit 451 is an entire novel about the future and the banning (and burning) of books. It was banned, ironically, because one of the books that eventually gets banned and burned is the Bible. Drawn your own conclusions, my (hopefully) intelligent readers.
Where's Waldo? by Martin Handford - Misprint, right? Uh, no. The very first Where's Waldo? book was, indeed, banned, because in one of the Where's Waldo? drawings a beach is shown featuring a woman lying on the sand with part of her breast showing. It was actually just a side view of her breast, with a penciled-in microscopic nipple shown.
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck - This classic was banned for "vulgar language."
Little Red Riding Hood (You can't make this stuff up, folks!) - Little Red Riding Hood has been banned for the use of alcohol (one of the items in Red Riding Hood's basket is a bottle of wine).

It's just crazy how what's right is wrong and what's wrong is right. Can you imagine how much time and effort it took to look at the beach scene from Where's Waldo? to find a woman lying on the sand with part of her boob showing? Yet let's be quick to hand out books about lesbian fantasy love - or as they put it, teens who are looking for strong female characters. You really can't make this crap up.
I do want to go back to one book in particular - Totally Joe. When that title popped up, I immediately thought of our Joe Biden who is always being 'totally Joe' on his nation-wide gaffe tour and I just started cracking up. Oh yeah...I feel an agitprop coming on....

IS Joe Biden as dumb as beauty pageant contestants?
By Correctamundo
Last week, I laid out my impartial, bipartisan scientific study regarding Joe Biden being dumber than an ashtray. In my ongoing quest to give our Joe the benefit of the doubt regarding his brainwave function or lack thereof, I've conducted another impartial, bipartisan scientific study to see if Joe Biden is as dumb as a beauty pageant contestant.
And to break from pageant protocol, I've decided to make this an audio/video challenge rather than a beauty challenge.
Audio/Video Challenge #1: Miss Hawaii. This one will be hard to be beat because it is from one of Obamaramadingdong's many home states - and it's the 58th state admitted to the union.
Audio/Video Challenge #2: Miss Venezuela. Since we must have diversity, Miss Venezuela was a finalist for this challenge. I also think, on any given day, this could be Al Sharptongue or our Joe after one too many...but, 'resist we much'.
Audio/Video Challenge #3: Miss Teen USA South Carolina. This is a perfect example of a blonde...no joke. It is also proof that 'No Child Left Behind' and Clinton's 'village' philosophy failed miserably with this child.
Audio/Video Challenge #4: Joe 'Plugs' Biden. Since there are 3 challengers above and [thankfully] only one Joe, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and allowed him to use 3 videos of his greatest hits.
Ding, ding, ding - we have a winner. Joe's last audio/video challenge put him over the top for me. While the German judges only gave him a 6, the French and Russian judges gave him a solid 9. And the other reason I picked our Joe is because beauty pageant contestants are only put on the spot for some 30 seconds - our Joe is a career politician who is out there, representing our country, 24/7/365...or I can put it in numerical order so that Joe will understand it after a few drinks: 23/4/567.

Is Joe Biden really as dumb as an ashtray? We did our own study...
By Correctamundo
As was noted last week in a previous post of mine, Roger Ailes made the comment that our Joe was as dumb as an ashtray. So, in the spirit of bipartisanship, I conducted a purely scientific study and came up with some fascinating results - moreso about the different types of totally awesome ashtrays there are out there rather than about Joe himself.
This is Joe Biden - and will remain so throughout our scientific presentation.

So, in the spirit of bipartisanship, I conducted a purely scientific study and came up with some fascinating results - moreso about the different types of totally awesome ashtrays there are out there rather than about Joe himself.
This is Joe Biden - and will remain so throughout our scientific presentation.
Study #1: The Padded Bottom Ashtray: this ashtray is stylish and has weight & substance. BONUS: it uses gold - remember when that was the standard? - clearly Joe Biden does not.
Study #2: The Gun-shaped Ashtray: we know how Joe feels about guns - 'Just shoot 'em through the door' - this ashtray has control and is used by a responsible smoker. Clearly, Joe is not in control.
Study #3: The Automotive Lighted Ashtray: this fine piece of technology is great for use in your vehicle. It lights up when you lift the lid and converts your extra cup holder into an ashtray. It can also mount on your dash. While Joe might light up when he lifts the lid, he can't convert anything into anything useful. And we don't want to see him mounting anything.
Now, to be fair to our Joe, we have come across a couple things that Joe does well being as dumb as an ashtray that these others would never be able to do.
Scientific Proof #1: Joe can meet with Obama under the cone of silence. I hope I didn't disturb them when I took this pic.
Scientific Proof #2: Joe can interrogate a Menendez hooker anytime he wants to, as shown in this digital portrait by someone named Sonna of a clandestine meeting in some foreign hotel. Notice there's no CIA around....hmm....
My totally scientific study shows that not only is our Joe dumber than an ashtray, but he is, indeed: boring, transparent, and lacking in character and personality. Perhaps we'll conduct a totally scientific study on whether or not he is, indeed, dumber than rocks and dumber than dirt. Until next time, this is Correctamundo, chief Scientific correspondent, signing off. So long - and may all your plugs take hold.

We Can't Get Enough Of A Good Thing: Biden Dumb As An Ashtray
By Correctamundo
For the cure that Ailes you, Roger said the following:
“I have a soft spot for Joe Biden,” he said. “I like him. But he’s dumb as an ashtray.”
For the cure that Ailes you, Roger said the following:
“I have a soft spot for Joe Biden,” he said. “I like him. But he’s dumb as an ashtray.”
This is from the Zev Chafets book, Roger Ailes - Off Camera. Other notable tidbits:
New Gingrich
One day during the 2012 primary season, Newt Gingrich complained that Fox News’s support for Mitt Romney was responsible for Gingrich’s poor showing.
Brian Lewis, his spokesman, asked Ailes for guidance on how to respond to Newt. “Brush him back,” Ailes said. “He’s a sore loser and if he had won he would have been a sore winner.” Lewis nodded.
Ailes was silent for a moment and then added, “Newt’s a prick.”
Barack Insane Obamaramadingdong
Lewis then read Ailes a summary of the flap over Democratic operative Hilary Rosen’s comment that Ann Romney, mother of five, had never worked a day in her life. Ailes spun it without hesitation. “Obama’s the one who never worked a day in his life. He never earned a penny that wasn’t public money. How many fund-raisers does he attend every week? How often does he play basketball and golf? I wish I had that kind of time. He’s lazy, but the media won’t report that.” He noticed my arched eyebrows and added, “I didn’t come up with that. Obama said that, to Barbara Walters.” (What Obama said was that he feels a laziness in himself that he attributes to his laid-back upbringing in Hawaii.)
During the presidential campaign of 2008, candidate Barack Obama was upset by Fox News, which by then was in its sixth year of cable dominance. A sit-down was arranged with Murdoch and Ailes, who recalls that the meeting took place in a private room at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan. (White House spokesman Jay Carney declined to relate the president’s version.) Obama arrived with his aide Robert Gibbs, who seated Ailes directly across from Obama, close enough for Ailes to feel the intention was to intimidate him. He didn’t mind; in fact, he rather appreciated the stagecraft, one political professional to another.
After some pleasantries, Obama got to the point. He was concerned about the way he was being portrayed on Fox, and his real issue wasn’t the news; it was Sean Hannity, who had been battering him every night at nine (and on his radio show, which Fox doesn’t own or control). Ailes didn’t deny that Hannity was anti-Obama. He simply told the candidate not to worry about it. “Nobody who watches Sean’s going to vote for you anyway,” he said.
Obama then asked Ailes what his personal concerns might be. It is a politician’s question that means: What can I do for you?
Ailes said he was mainly concerned about Obama’s strength on national-security issues. The candidate assured Ailes that he had nothing to worry about.
“Well, why are you going around talking about making cuts in weapons systems?” asked Ailes. “If you’re going to cut, why not at least negotiate them and get something in return?”
Obama said that Ailes had been misinformed; he was not advocating unilateral cuts.
“He said this looking me right in the eyes,” says Ailes. “He never dropped his gaze, which is the usual tell. It was as good a lie as anyone ever told me. I said, ‘Senator, I just watched someone say exactly that on my computer screen before coming over here. Maybe it wasn’t you, but it sure looked like you and sounded like you. I think it was you.’ ”
At that point, Gibbs stood and announced that the session was over. “I don’t think he liked the meeting very much,” says Ailes.
CNN
CNN had recently introduced a new graphic design with moving walls, which Ailes thought was foolish. “You’ve got Wolf Blitzer standing out there facing the camera, and suddenly the set moves and you’re looking at his rear end. Wolf’s a good journalist, but I doubt if the audience really wants to see some size 42-short guy with his back to the camera. That’s a production mistake whether the walls move or not.”

In the first minute, he tells thousands of labor activists how much his political career owes to the muscle of the labor movement and how there is a quid pro quo — right before touting the Obama administration as a neutral referee in the labor fights around the country.
Then, the vice president assures his listeners that the administration sees “the absolute positive necessity of collective bargaining” — without mentioning, of course, that federal workers are denied that very same collective bargaining. [..] The Colossus of Rhodey
